  3. Petal Painting or Floral Art

    I was surprised by the wonderful variety of shapes and colors of petals and entire picture done from the petals. Artists creative imagination led to making complicated figures and landscapes out of the flower petals. Take a look at these photos I did in the Philadelphia Flower Show in 2011. All of the creatures shown on this site were created from individual flower petals or leaves. Some see the characters and do not appreciate how they were fashioned. Look carefully and you might recognize some of the petals or leaves that are familiar.

  4. James A. Michener Art Museum

    In 1988, with the support of many dedicated citizens, the James A. Michener Art Museum opened as an independent, non-profit cultural institution dedicated to preserving, interpreting and exhibiting the art and cultural heritage of the Bucks County region. The Museum is named for Doylestown’s most famous son, the Pulitzer-Prize winning writer and supporter of the arts who had first dreamed of a regional art museum in the early 1960′s.

  5. 2010 US Open (Tennis)

    The 2010 US Open was a tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts, held from August 30 to September 13, 2010 in the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows, Queens, New York City, United States.

    The tournament was initially going to finish with Men’s Singles final on September 12, but was postponed due to rain on the last day and just before the men’s tournament final. In the previous two years the tournament was also postponed because of weather.
