    Marilyn Monroe was born Norma Jeane Mortenson on June 1, 1926, in Los Angeles, California. During her all-too-brief life, Marilyn Monroe overcame a difficult childhood to become of the world’s biggest and most enduring sex symbols. During her career, Monroe’s films grossed more than $200 million.

    At only 36 years old, Marilyn Monroe died of a drug overdose on August 5, 1962. In several days will be 50 years after her death, but she is still alive!?!

    Russia’s Vladimir Putin has called the dissolution of the Soviet Union “the greatest geopolitical catastrophe” of the 20th century. He’s not the only one who feels that way. According to a recent poll, more than half of all Russians now regret the demise of the USSR 20 years ago this weekend. Brigid McCarthy visited a restaurant in Moscow that lets customers pretend they’re back in the USSR.

  3. Victorian Erotic Photography Very Modest

    The exposure of the body parts through images of the non nude, but open according to that time standards, was one of the most controversial issues in Victorian art. Erotic images (mostly pretty modest and non nude) were presented not only in painting and sculpture, but also popular illustration, and photography, fueling intense great interest and initiate debates about the relationship between art and public morals. Pictures of partially nude women prior to 1835 generally consisted of paintings and drawings which were displayed in all respectability on the walls of art galleries and in country houses.
